Yea, that's right. That is how much we brought with us to Hawaii for our month long trip. Honest, see the picture.
Pretty good when you consider we are traveling with two adults, one toddler and one infant.
Side note: Delta didn't make a penny off the Lynches for this trip. We used frequent flyer miles for three tickets; baby items aren't charged baggage fees; and as a silver medallion with Delta we were each (Sarah, Piper and I) entitled to bring two bags at 70 lbs. at no charge. Plus, Nana B was kind enough to provide drink vouchers for the flight, so we even drank for free.
How was the flight you ask? JAX to ATL was quick and easy. Flight time was less than an hour. Done.
Our two hour layover in ATL was plenty of time to get breakfast and talk to the gate agent about getting the bulkhead and a bassinet for the flight from ATL to HNL. Bulkhead and the bassinet was solid and highly recommended for anyone traveling with an infant. Basically, this portable bassinet attaches to the bulkhead and allowed Baby Margot to sleep, plus it gave our arms a break.
The second leg of our flight was a little longer. Flight time clocked in at nine and a half hours. However, each seat had a personal television, which allowed us all to watch movies and play games. I think Piper watched Rio three times. Plus, we all got a little shut eye even if Piper's was induced from children's benadryl.
Total travel time JAX to HNL: approx. 14 hours
Aloha! Glad to see how well you al packed. Congratulations! Happy to hear you were able to use the drink vouchers. Now enjoy the beautiful sights and smells on Hawaii can offer. See you in a couple of weeks.
