Cost of living

We will try and update everyone with prices of different things. Thus far we don't feel the difference is as drastic as we anticipated. See some examples below:

Gallon of gas: $4.05

Half gallon of milk: $3.29

Loaf of bread: $2.25

Suave Conditioner: $1.19

Hunts Ketchup: $1.59

I know gas was $3.33 (in Jacksonville) when we left. How do the other prices compare? Anything in particular you want us to price?

  1. Gas is 3.29 here in A2. A nicer loaf of bread is 2.69. How about diapers and wipes?
I remember buying 2L bottle of coke was really expensive. What about costs at the shrimp truck?

This is the place I remember that was so nice when we were there. If I remember right, it gets crowded. Hanauma Bay-

  2. We'll post about the shrimp trucks soon - they deserve their own, separate blog post.

  6. There is some organic produce at the one grocery store we have been to. We did find out that there is a Whole Foods in Honolulu. There are a few roadside stands with fruits and veggies, but we have done our shopping at a grocery store thus far.
